“ This was my first time trying conroy's and overall had a great experience! My boyfriend got the guinness wings and was not a fan of them because he was expecting them to be spicy, not sweet. But, he really enjoyed the bacon burger! The service was amazing!! The server was extremely friendly and talked with us for a little bit. Also the atmosphere is super cool with irish looking decor all over. It is a great place to watch a sports game because of all the tvs too. Lastly, my favorite thing was the lighting at the table. There was a candle and a lamp that was changeable to warm or cool lighting ”
“ Fish and chips were top notch. Even the pea mash was tasty. The place gave a traditional pub vibe and was decorated nicely for Christmas. ”
“ Conroy's is a great spot for a good beer and fish and chips. The fried mushrooms are tasty and the mushy peas that comes with the fish tastes like they were made in London ”
“ The first thing that I noticed about this place was that it is DARK! Despite the windows and a very sunny day, the main bar was like walking into a basement- but maybe that's a traditional Irish pub experience? The service was a little bit slow even though there was hardly anyone there, but it seemed to just be one server holding it down during non-peak time and she was very nice so no real issue there. The food was quite good! The Cheese Curds were a solid choice, and the Mac and Cheese was very good- cheesy, creamy and delicious. The Irishman sandwich was pretty good, but the corned beef was dry, almost like it was sliced and then thrown on a griddle afterward? That said it's absolutely a place I need to try more often! ”
“ Picked this place randomly because they had chicken tenders for the kid. Excellent choice. We were immediately seated in a cozy spot in the bar. Service was friendly and quick. We were shocked at the size of the appetizers definitely large portions. The fried pickled are some of the best ever! Chicken tenders were fresh made and the breading was very flavorful. The pizza was all very fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection! We will be back next time we come to Arrowhead! ”
“ Food was definitely made from scratch. I had the chicken pot pie; the chunks of chicken were large and tender. I didn't love the pastry on top, which usually is my favorite part of a pot pie. It was huge! I had to bring home leftovers, which I am notorious for not eating. I warmed it up the next day from breakfast it was just as good. Also tried the devilled eggs, two different flavors were on the plate. I enjoyed the bacon one more than the curry one. After reading reviews, I did want to try the Guinness pie but they no longer had that one on the menu. ”
“ Super cute patio with lots of plants. The inside is very woody and suitable for an Irish bar. I am so happy we tried this place. The food was delicious and extremely hot. Be careful, I burned my tongue pretty bad. The service was quick for everything being made in house. They have Harps beer which was nice too. The baked Mac was sooooo good nice and cheesy. ”
“ Really enjoyed hanging out here watching the KU game as well as listening to the Irish band play. That was a really cool experience to hear the Irish band! Food and service were both good. The corned beef hash was good but needed a bit more flavoring. An over easy egg would help but mine was over cooked. The shepherds pie was also good but still needed a bit more flavoring. Will be back to try more items! ”
“ My favorite menu offerings (in no particular order) here are: 1) Grilled Atlantic Salmon with still-crisp vegetables, all in a creamy lemon dill sauce...perfection! 2) Margherita Pizza with homemade tomato sauce, totally fresh (recognizable!) basil and "real" (not shredded) Mozzarella cheese...SO good! 3) Beer Battered Onion Rings...crunchy deliciousness! 4) Smooth, Creamy Potato Leek Soup...that, along with half a Turkey Melt Sandwich, is a great bargain on their Lunch Combo for just $11! It's a great neighborhood restaurant not far from the Plaza, at 48th & Rainbow, but you don't have to fight like heck or drive around the block 10 times to find a parking space! If you're looking for a fancy interior or a romantic vibe, this is not the place! But you will get fresh, first class food! The main drawback is that it's pretty noisy on weekdays/nights, and weekends are much more so! Game days? Fuhgeddaboudit! ”
“ I was in Westwood today to attend a midday Mass with some buddies and as we were leaving, one of them pulls up and tells me we're going to Conroy's. "What's a Conroy?" I ask and my buddy just waved at me to follow. I arrived to a huge parking lot and a restaurant that I could actually get a table at. "Hmm" I said to myself as I sat down, and I no sooner did than the waitress appeared out of nowhere and took our drink order. Being in the 50+ range, we all made snap decisions on the lunch order and proceeded to solve the worlds problems, because only guys our age can do that. When she came back, our food looked great, but the test is in the taste....and it was great! My bacon cheeseburger was perfect, a real medium rare, which some places fail at miserably. One of the guys had the Fisherman's Pie with the puff pastry top, another had the chicken pot pie with the same top, and another had the chicken salad. We were all two thumbs up to the food. Our server did a great job and had impeccable timing, which is a good thing for a bunch of guys deeply immersed in solving the worlds problems. BTW, the greeter is very friendly and met us coming in and leaving! ”
